HKSAR Water Supplies Department - Contract No. : 3/WSD/17

Term Contract for Risk-Based Improvement of Water Mains - Hong Kong & Islands and New Territories West

The works and services included under the Contract are located in Hong Kong & Islands and New Territories West. The Works in brief consist of -

l laying of approximately 28 km fresh water and salt water mains of diameter ranging from DN20 to DN1000;

l rehabilitation of approximately 2 km existing fresh and salt water mains of diameter ranging from DN300 to DN1200;

l testing and commissioning of approximately 25 km fresh water and salt water mains of diameter ranging from DN25 to DN900 laid by others (hereinafter referred as “dry mains”), including leak detection survey and leak repair of dry mains;

l condition survey of approximately 1.3 km existing fresh and salt water mains of diameter ranging from DN700 to DN1400; and

l any other ancillary works associated with the above.

Construction of Pressure Management and District Metering Installations in Aberdeen, Central, Eastern, Western, Sai Wan, Red Hill, Kowloon West, Tsuen Wan, Sai Kung and Tuen Mun Major Fresh Water Supply Zones

The works and services included under the Contract are located in Aberdeen, Central, Eastern, Western, Sai Wan, Red Hill, Kowloon West, Tsuen Wan, Sai Kung and Tuen Mun Major Fresh Water Supply Zones. The Works in brief consist of -

l construction of the pressure management area chambers, district meter area chamber, critical pressure point chambers and all others chambers associated for the fresh water distribution system;

l installation of the associated flow meters, pressure reducing valves, pressure reducing valve controllers, data loggers and other necessary installation for monitoring; and

l all other civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical and mechanical works with the above.

Construction of To Shek Salt Water Service Reservoir and Ma On Shan No.3 Salt Water Service Reservoir

The works include the construction of To Shek salt water service reservoir with a capacity of 8,800 cubic metres and Ma On Shan No.3 salt water service reservoir with a capacity of 1,200 cubic metres and laying of associated water mains.

Sheung Shui / Fanling Water Supply - Construction of Ping Che Fresh Water Service Reservoir & Associated Works

The works include the construction of Ping Che Fresh Water Service Reservoir with a capacity of 20,000 cubic metres and associated works in Ping Che, North District.

Construction of Emergency Vehicular Access & Sewerage Works at Luk Tei Tong, Mui Wo

The works mainly comprise construction of about 500 meters long emergency vehicular access and sewerage works between Tai Tei Tong and Luk Tei Tong, Mui Wo, involving a 19 meters long vehicular bridge, a 4 meters long box culvert, and associated drainage works and retaining walls.

 

HKSAR Water Supplies Department Contract No. 3/WSD/01

Water Supply to Ku Kau Tang, Kau Tam Tso & Lai Chi Wo, North District

The scope of works comprises extension of treated water supply to remote villages –

  • construction of a fresh water pump house;
  • procurement and installation of pump sets and associated equipment;
  • laying of about 12.5 kilometres of fresh water mains ranging from 80 to 150 millimetres in diameter; and
  • construction of a fresh water tank with a capacity of 120 cubic metres.
